Summer snack!!
This is one of my fav snacks and it’s really refreshing on a crazy hot summer day.
• cucumbers
• jicama
• pineapple
• @tajinusa - original or lime
• extra lime for my sour lovers
After I go grocery shopping I cut up all my fruits and veggies so they are easier to eat and use. (Hint they also don’t go to waste due to forgetting they are even there 😝 or laziness because I don’t want to cut them up)
🥒🍍 Just put on a plate and sprinkle with some Tajin! It’s that simple. You can do it with any fruit or veggies too, these are just my fav. They also all provide great sources of nutrients. To name a few:
Jicama - good fiber content, high in antioxidants, promotes digestion, provides the gut with PREbiotics (which feed healthy bacteria in the gut)
Cucumber - helps with hydration, offers a good source of vitamins K and C, and minerals such as magnesium, potassium and manganese
Pineapple - supports digestion, boosts immunity, helps with inflammation, since it helps with inflammation it can also aid with seasonal allergies by reducing inflammation in the nasal passage.
Like I said these are just SOME of the health benefits this really awesome snack has. They taste great and can be really easy to incorporate into your everyday eating habits.
